Midnattsolen (Midnight Sun)
Each summer in the arctic the sun appears to stay aloft and circle the sky. I re-invent such a place in a large scale print installation of 24 unique etching/monoprint images 60”h X 39”w printed on Okawara paper. Surrounded by the representation of 24 separate hours, the viewer can imagine what the Ziegler Expedition explorers may have seen and experienced in the arctic.
